hehe thanks a lot ! If you have never buit a papercraft model, this one will most likely be too difficult to handle. However you can learn the ropes on easier models by checking papercraft-related sites (pls search papercraft in Google) - If you'd like to try your hand at this model, here is the link to download the pdo: [link].
I think mine and yours are the only 2 in existance at this moment. an awesome thought, no? you and I are the only ones that have built this model. there will ofc be more in a few years, but yours was the first ever built. whatever you do in life, know that you were the first person ever to build this particular AWESOME papercraft. I envy you. I've never been the first builder of anything this awesome.
I'm giving mine away to someone I don't even know. had I had a space for her I think I would've kept her. what did you do with yours?
Thanks for your kind comments Yes it's awesome that our models are the only 2 in existence!!! Yes you're right, it was great knowing I was the first one to build her (and I have been building models for only a few months (and it was one of my first "lineless" models), so it was a real challenge!!). I have built her for my daughter's birthday.
I'm fortunate enough to have a bit of room in my house, so I have placed her in my bedroom, but her legs have started to give way, so I will need to reinforce them at some point.
Is yours standing OK? You're giving her to a friend! Wow, that's very nice!! How are you going to deliver her (hehe she's pretty tall and fragile).
wow what a lucky daughther you have! I'm thinking of trying to do a life sized link, but that seems way harder than zelda was.
I've hung mine on a pole, I made the legs in 160g paper, so they don't support her weight. :/ I did make a hole in the top of the legs so the girl who gets her can fill them with expanding foam (I don't really know what that is though), or she can skip the legs and hang her on a pole or a tall lamp or something.
the delivery is not my problem, so that is for her to solve. she has the measurements and a friend with a van, so I think she'll solve that problem.
Hehe, yes my daughter is lucky She loves Zelda so much, that every time I find a papercraft that's from the Zelda universe, I go for it. I have built the legs with 250g paper, but I'm having a hard time with them. I had strengthened the legs with a ton of newspaper, but still, her legs have started to show signs of weakness. I had to glue the feet on a wood board, and I need to bolster the feet/legs on a regular basis, otherwise, she'll fall down Oh well, the important part is that I have managed to build her hehe.
I was thinking of building the lifesize Link model, but I won't have room. Maybe one day, if I have a Zelda-type castle for a house

I'm thinking of building him the day I get a bigger place. I live in a one room appartment now, so...
